I started subbing in 2016 so I’m still a newbie in the world of translation and subbing. Although I passed my JLPT N1 back in 2014, there are many words that I still don’t know.ย I’m definitely learning something new every time I translate each episode, which makes the whole process very exciting and educational at the same time. Yes, I occasionally write a long list of episodic notes. Sorry for being so long-winded but the Japanese language is simply interesting and I actually wrote those so that I can refer to them in the future.
Having said all that, please feel free to tell me if I made any translation errors or if there are better ways to word my translations! That will be very helpful. ๐
Notes on my subtitles:
– My subtitles will be uploaded to D-Addicts when they are ready. Please look forward to them.
– I use British spelling.
– Other than names, food and places, I try not to leave romaji in my subtitles and will find a similar English equivalent. My objective is to make my subtitles readable even for people who know next to nothing about Japanese culture.

Hello Carameltz! Thank you for your work in Hello Harinezumi. I’m really sorry for being upfront about this but do you accept subtitling requests? I really hope you can sub the movies 64 I & II. Raws have been out since 9 months ago and nobody seems to be picking it up for subbing or uploading eng subs from BDs. Once again, thank you and sorry if this post been a bother to you. ๐

Hi, Lily! I don’t accept subtitling requests for movies as movies do not come with Japanese softsubs unlike dramas. Without Japanese softsubs, subtitling will take a much longer time as timing will have to be done line by line which is a very tedious process. I hope you can find someone else who can help! I am a big fan of Asadoras as well as Taiga Dramas. I do not read Japanese and have a hearing vocabulary of a 3 year-old Japanese child, so I will use your subs to create machine translations online. Those are good enough for me to follow about 80% of the story line.
I don’t know what your native language is but you write well in English.

hi carameltz! i just wanted to drop by and thank you for all you’ve done in subbing jdramas and sps! i’ve watched a couple which you subbed and i’ve always enjoyed them! especially hello harinezumi! big fan of eita so when you picked it up, it was great ๐ i was just wondering if you intend to sub anything anytime soon? i’ll be looking forward to it! if you haven’t been considering anything, maybe you could consider unnatural? candylemon isn’t subbing it anymore (but it’s just a suggestion, nothing more!) hee! anyway thanks again!!
